Look forward to seeing you for the first of our 150th anniversary celebrations!
The Club has commissioned Aimee Durrell a local artist to paint a picture of the outside of our building in order to commemorate our special anniversary.
The Club first started out in a room at The Angel Inn in 1872 as a gentleman's club but did not move to No 1 Quadrille Court until 1913. It 'downsized' to become No 4 Quadrille Court in 1965. ( You must read the history when its published to read more!)
The painting will go up on the clubroom wall but there will a framed print to be won by some lucky member later on in the year.
There is a special bridge session on Friday June 3rd at the Club. A delicious cream tea will be served half way through the afternoon consisting of celebration cup cakes, scones, jam and clotted cream, other cake and sandwiches. The cost is £12.50 to include the bridge. The money will be deducted from your account. Proceeds to Oakhaven. Please allow extra parking time for this event to enable us to have a relaxed break for the tea.
